Youth Actor Performs NYC Play

Matthew Wechsler, TVI Actors Studio youth member, is performing at The Storm Theatre in The Time of Your Life by William Saroyan. The play runs October 3rd through November 1st. It is directed by Peter Dobbins and was cast by TVI’s own J Max Sullivan. Matthew was a hit this past summer at the Young Actors Professional Camp at TVI. I can’t wait to see him live on stage.

Emmy Nominated Casting Director at TVI

Emmy nominated casting director Pat McCorkle will be teaching a one day intensive on December 13th at TVI New York. The intensive is for young actors ages 11-17. In Pat’s class students will work on monologues, and on-camera cold reading. Actors will explore the realities of television/film casting as this prominent industry expert covers the entire audition process including the business, etiquette, and politics of the industry. Hannah Montana Casting Director teaching today

One of the happiest casting directors on Earth (and most professional) is Los Angeles casting director Howard Meltzer, casting director of the popular TV show, “Hannah Montana” who teaches one of the on-going young actors acting classes on Saturday’s at TVI Actors Studio in Los Angeles

In addition to casting “Hannah Montana“, Howard has cast on Broadway: The Graduate, Fortune’s Fool, Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, Elaine May’s Taller Than A Dwarf, Honour, Epic Proportions, Annie Get Your Gun (Revival), Fosse, Chicago (Revival), Annie (Revival), Grease (Revival) Off-Broadway: Things You Shouldn’t Say Past Midnight, Mall America, The Wax, Voir Dire, A Brief History Of White Music.

He won the Casting Directors “Artios Award” for “Best Children’s TV Programming” for Hannah Montana in 2006, shared with Carol Goldwasser.

Youth Actor Signs with NYC Talent Agency

TVI youth member Ellie Pettit has signed with the New York office of Abrams Artists Agency in the Legit Department. Abrams will be representing her in all areas of Film, TV, and Theater. Ellie has participated in several classes at TVI Actors Studio, including the Young Actor’s Professional Camp in NYC this past summer.

Acting School Student in “Songs for a New World”

Two Talent Agents & a Manager!

Adam-Kang250.jpgAdam Kang landed in LA from Houston, came to TVI’s Young Actors’ Summer Program, and got signed right away by top agencies that he met there. CESD took him commercially, Brass Artists took him theatrically, and Ryan Glascow of Bohemia Management will over see it all!

Talent Agents Still Keep Calling from Youth Camp

She met Ryan this past summer at TVI’s Young Actors Camp in New York. Just goes to show, you never know when that phone is going to ring.
