How to Get Cast as a TV host

by Jeffrey Dreisbach on January 7, 2010

hosting couple.jpegTo dream of being a TV host is one thing, to have an attainable goal is quite another. Some may think kit is simply a matter of personality. Show up at an audition with a smile and forced energy and you will surely be on your way to hosting success. Right?. Not so fast. Consider the following. What are your specific skill sets for the job? Do your presentation skills and personality match the kind of opportunities you are looking for? How much energy is appropriate? Does your voice match your face? How do you package yourself so that others will “buy” what you are selling. You should not find yourself, you should create yourself. Take a hosting class, get involved, work with pros. It is the best way to reach your goals. Consider classes at TVI Actors Studio.
