An actor’s body and voice is their tool, their instrument.
Just like Athletes warm up so should actors, an Actor is an Athlete too.
As an actor we should remember to warm up our voice and body everyday,
It is very easy to get lazy and not work on these things, but they are simple and effective.
Your vocal cords are similar to other muscles: the more you tone them, the more deftly you can use them.
We should do exercises, to loosen up our body, increase our vocal range and do breathing exercises.
These will improve our posture, presence as an actor and the strength of our voice, It can also be beneficial to accent work, as the more we are in tune with our body and voice the better we can manipulate it to our advantage.
Here at TVI conservatory, we have classes that strengthen our voices, and work specifically on accents.

You can be an amazing actor, but no one will know until they see you! Acting Headshots have become an absolute necessity in today’s acting profession. But there are so many questions when you decide to get your acting headshots done. “Am I ready to take my acting career to the next level? How many headshots should I have? What headshot photographer should I use?”. These questions are very important and need to be answered by talent agents, casting directors and TVI Actors Studio career coaches. Here at TVI, we have a free gallery of talented headshot photographers that are well respected in New York and Los Angeles. Now you can easily access the right headshot photographers to answer the much-needed questions all in one place, the TVI on-line actors headshot gallery!
